Springfondet, owned jointly by Kistefos and Forskningsparken, has just completed its first round of investments in the companies iDTEQ AS and Eureka Gruppen AS. After these transactions, Springfondet has investments in a portfolio of 13 seed stage companies.
iDTEQ develops intrusion alarm systems based on detection of infrasound signals. This detection technology is coupled with processing utilizing artifical intelligence to achieve class leading intrusion sensitivity, combined with a dramatically lowered rate of false alarms compared to conventional systems. Additionally, a single detector from iDTEQ can detect intrusions in a large area, including break-ins through roofs, walls and other surfaces that would otherwise require a complex mix of PIR sensors and magnetic switches.
Eureka Gruppen develops water desalination equipment based on the Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO)-principle. Usage of new types of materials and proprietary technology alleviates some of the top nuisances associated with such systems today and enables Eureka to help its customers significantly reduce costs associated with production of water.
